The Amoeba Sisters are two sisters on a mission to demystify science with humor and relevance by creating videos, GIFs, handouts, and comics. Pinky has been in public school education for 12 years, and her experience spans across three different public school districts in Texas. Amoeba Sisters only focuses on content that Pinky is certified to teach, and as a former high school biology teacher, this remains the focus of the content. Petunia has worked for a public school district as an analyst for several years, and she is the creator of all illustrations and GIFs. Together, the two combine their passions to create the Amoeba Sisters resources.
We create short video cartoons on YouTube to teach life science content with memorable cartoons. Our short videos and resources are designed to introduce content and provide more classroom time for the more important things: classroom discussion, hands-on labs, and opportunities to create with the content. Our TpT resources center around our free videos on our YouTube Channel, The Amoeba Sisters
Learn more about our teaching style with our videos and resources in our quick video HERE. On TpT, we offer our Unlectured Series, Annotated Video Script Templates, answer keys to our free student recap handouts, and our "select" recap handouts + accompanying keys. Our resources center around our YouTube Channel, The Amoeba Sisters
