TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have enjoyed teaching ESL students 16 and older. I have taught in community setting as a volunteer as well as in academic settings with Kaplan and Kings Education. I currently do college-prep work with students, including reading skills, writing skills, and research.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching is focused on skills that students can apply to many different kinds of reading and writing. I always aim for student-led activities in the classroom. I give structure and directions and allow my students to discover what they need to know. As my class goes on, I give less and less structure to allow them to apply skills that we have learned.
