TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have had the wonderful opportunity to work as a middle/high school social studies teachers for 11 years in a public school in upstate PA. Along with my brick and mortar classroom experience I have also worked for K12 for over 4 years as both a high school and middle school teacher. My graduate work and classroom experience has also opened new career doors for me by giving me the opportunity to work for Penn State University as a Curriculum and Instruction adjunct professor for graduate students for the past 4 years. I have just recently been awarded the Teacher of the Year for Social Studies in the state of PA in 2013 and more recently the recipient of the Cohen-Jordan award for Innovative Social Studies Teacher for the Middle States 2014. I am always trying to bring creativity to the classroom and of course get my students actively involved in the learning process.
