TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have 11 years of experience in teaching U.S. history to high school students. I have taught the subject at a variety of skill levels, which includes comprehensive, honors, and Advanced Placement U.S.History.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I use primary sources almost exclusively in my classroom, rather than textbooks, because I want to develop historical thinking skills in my students. History is open to interpretation and I want my students to be able to reach their own conclusions about past events by interpreting sources and evaluating bias.
