TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught 7-12th grade for 10 years. Four of those years I was focused on middle school. The past five I have been teaching upper level English and AP English classes (Literature). Currently, I also teach 101 and Advanced English for a local college.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I teach higher level thinking skill related assignments and those which are also engaging to students!

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I was presented a "Distinguished Educator Award" by the Joplin Globe Newspaper in 2011 in correlation to the All-Area Academic Team (a group of the top students in the 417 area are chosen, as well as a teacher who inspired them).

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have an associate's degree from Ozark Christian College, Joplin Missouri. I have my bachelor's degree from Missouri Southern State University, Joplin MIssouri. Cum Laude graduate. I have my master's in Education: Administration K-12 from Grand Canyon University.
