TEACHING EXPERIENCE

This is my 7th year as a teacher. I have my National Board Certification in Literacy. I have taught Special Education, 1st grade, and most recently Kindergarten. I am currently an intervention teacher for K-5 in reading and math!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I am currently an intervention teacher for reading and math. I work with groups K-5 on reading and math skills. I primarily use Guided Reading with my students. When I taught Kindergarten my classroom was taught using the Workshop Approach, I think it's important for students to have their hands on books, and try to use games/ activities to reinforce skills.
