Since 1991, I have been involved in the supplementary education business providing reading and cognitive training to students in grades K-12 and beyond. I am the founder of innovative tutorial/training company called The Thinking Center which is located in Sarasota, FL. Its mission to provide short-term interventions for long-term skill-based outcomes. As a neuro-educator, I have had the privilege to have founded two schools: The GAP School and The Thinking Center Academy. The GAP School was founded on the concept of providing a one-to-two year daily training program to help close the academic, cognitive and social gaps for students. Prior to The GAP School, I had the opportunity to partner with a speech/language pathologist and co-found of Camp Arrow which was a summer camp for kids who didn't fit into the mainstream day camping experience. All of these projects have directly benefited the community positively and have helped well over 6000 students become better readers, students and thinkers!
Currently, I deliver reading intervention one to one with students, and I Skype with 50% of my clients from across the country and internationally. When parents can not make it, we can still meet because of Skype. I meet the student where they are and am able to quickly diagnose why learning might be hard and then use a specific intention to help learning go easier.

Post-screening recommendations include: -Include HANDLE activities designed to create readiness for neurological systems to mature. -Guide the person to adapt his or her physical surroundings to reduce stress and to meet his or her needs. -Ease tasks through approaches that compensate for the individual's unique challenges.
