TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been a teacher for 25 years. Of those 25 years, I have spent 23 working with students who are deaf and hard of hearing. One year I spent as a cross-categorical teacher in the suburbs of Chicago and recently, I was a Teacher Mentor Specialist working with related service personnel who were new to the district.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I work with students who are in special education, therefore I need to use a variety of teaching styles to meet each student's needs. I do, however, provide quite a bit of guidance with everything I teach which is mainly literacy--an area that students with hearing loss need most.
