TEACHING EXPERIENCE

My educational experience has consisted of six years in my own classroom. Four years were spent in fourth grade and two years have been spent in third grade. Throughout my student teaching experience, I had the opportunity to spend at least six weeks in all grades, Kindergarten through fifth grade. Those experiences mixed with my experience as a Camp Director for children with disabilities has allowed me to learn about and better educate all children and inspire them to be life long learners!

MY TEACHING STYLE

My educational philosophy is that every child will flourish in an environment where they are met at their current level and then challenged to take it to the next level. Students thrive in well structured, professional environments where they are supported and respected. My goal is to provide a stimulating, multiple learning style environment where students are inspired to identify their inner strengths and abilities. I take the responsibilities of an educator very seriously, and am committed daily to develop mutual trust and respect with my students, parents and my administration.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have had the privilege to earn a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Early Childhood Education and a Master's Degree in Early Childhood Education with a concentration of Educational Leadership.

Teaching is truly a lifelong dream come true! Since second grade, I had dreamed of becoming a teacher. I think of this often and reflect on what my second grade teacher did years ago that continues to inspire me decades later!
