I have been fortunate enough to have taught in a variety of different areas and levels, including gifted, LD/BD (self-contained, inclusion and resource), 6th grade Language Arts, Literature and Social Studies, Kindergarten and Bilingual Special Ed Self-Contained. I have loved each and every level I have taught and have brought away something special from each one!
My teaching style can be summed up in one simple phrase...WHATEVER WORKS! If one method of teaching is not successful with a student, then try again. I firmly believe in hands on activities. My motto has been that if I am bored with a lesson, then so are the students. I always try to make lessons engaging and fun.

I graduated from National College of Education with a degree in Education along with an additional concentration in psychology. I am in the process of working on my masters in education as well. I am certified to teach K-9, with endorsements in L.S., Lit., and S.S. I also have a lifetime approval for special education.
I have blessed with two amazing children! My daughter is 17 and my son is 14. In addition to my love for my kids and teaching, I enjoy reading, arts and crafts, being outside and "creating things". I think this is why I love creating new units so much!
