TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am a 3rd year teacher in Havana, Illinois. I have been in the district for both of my first two years. I teach all of the Algebra II classes at the high school. I also teach an Integrated Math class that is similar to Pre-Algebra.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I have a flipped classroom. Students go home and watch a video and fill out a sheet that I provide them with, then come back to class and work on what is traditionally homework. This allows them to have direct contact with me on any problems or difficulties they have and gives me the chance to give them immediate feedback. The sheet that they fill out at home is usually fill in the blank and has all of the problems that I work out on the video for the students to follow along and copy/learn as they watch.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have 4 year Bachelor's of Science from Western Illinois University. I am certified to teach 6-12 Mathematics and also have a minor in economics.

The files I am uploading have everything you need to teach your Algebra II and Integrated Math curriculum. They contain a power point that you may alter once downloaded, an accompanying notes sheet that has the same problems on it as the power point, and a video of the lecture my students watch at home as performed by me.
