I completed a Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education and a Masters in Reading. During my Masters, I worked as a kindergarten graduate assistant in a nationally accredited kindergarten. Then, I taught 5 years in second grade in a Title I school. Once I got married, I moved to an affluent school and taught kindergarten, then looped with them to first grade. After that year, I got a brand new first grade class and looped with them to second. I have really enjoyed all of the different experiences both schools have brought to me! So many different perspectives!
If I'm bored, they're bored! I love to keep it active and interesting, even if it makes me stretch my brain to come up with new ideas. I don't "do" paperwork very well, so I try to keep it as simplified as I can. I'm too creative to be organized! :)

I graduated in 2000 with BS and 2002 with a MEd from Winthrop University.
When I'm not thinking of new ideas for elementary age kids, I am trying to think of new things for my 3-year-old son or 7-month-old daughter. Or my hubby and I are catching up on our favorite tv shows.
