I have over 5 years of teaching experience at the high school level. I’ve spent my entire career teaching social studies at a Title 1 school (at least 40% of the students enrolled in the school are from low-income families) with a 2,000 student body population. I’ve taught AP World History and Dual Credit U.S. History at an Early College Program in Dallas, Texas. Also, I’m an adjunct at a local community college where I teach U.S. History courses.
My teaching philosophy is based on creating engaging projects and differentiated instruction to maximize student achievement and learning. I create challenging and rigorous hands-on activities that can be delivered in a fun way to students at different levels.
