I have been teaching in the Orlando, Fl area for 11 years. I started out as a Kindergarten reading teacher. I taught first grade for five years and am in my fifth year of teaching second grade. Second grade is definitely my home!
I have a very hands-on classroom, where students are encouraged to explore and find answers on their own. My room has been described as "chatty," but I believe children need to be able to talk to each other to get the most out of their education. I firmly believe that all children can learn regardless of their circumstances. I set very high expectations of my students, because I know they can do anything they put their minds too!

I have a blog/website/facbook page about gratitude. Having gratitude makes what you have enough. It is so important to teach our children to live a life of gratitude.
