TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have taught: pre-K, Kindergarten, First Grade, Second Grade, Third Grade and Reading Recovery. I have served as principal of a private K-12 school. I have taught Reading, Writing and English in a Community College. I teach ballet.

I have used a variety of teaching styles successfully. It is my practice to determine a child's learning style and adjust my teaching stye to it in order to make the teaching and learning environment the most favorable for all.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

A retired Reading Recovery Teacher, Rita tutors children daily in reading. She writes and choreographs stage plays/dance dramas. She has published several children's books including the Eensy Weensy Science Series. She enjoys encouraging authors both young and young at heart to develop their voices in print. She especially enjoys blogging, writing children's books and haikus. She is currently working on a biography. Rita has three adult children, Carlee, Chloe and Mark and a granddaughter Joie Abigail.
