I have taught reading intervention for grades 3-5, 3rd grade, Pre-K Unified (at-risk and special education), and 1st grade. I have taught as both a SPED and general education teacher. I have taught in a very diverse school where many of my students were first-generation Americans, having as many as 7-8 different languages spoken in my classroom each year. Currently, I teach in a school with many military families, and therefore a high level of transiency. I am licensed in Early Childhood, SPED, and ESOL.

I love for children to learn through hands-on experiences. I strive to keep them engaged through frequent movement and activity changes. Sneaking learning in through fun and games is my favorite way to teach! I am also a huge advocate for trauma-informed classroom practices!

I am proud to have taught at a Leader in Me school for five years. Currently I am honored to teach in a trauma-responsive school. Trauma responsive education is my passion!

I have a Masters of Education in Curriculum and Instruction, and a Bachelors in Early Childhood Education Unified with Special Education. I am currently pursuing a Doctor of Education degree.

I have worked with young children since I was in high school, so it is no surprise that early childhood is my absolute favorite age to teach! I have three littles of my own at home, so my whole life is about early childhood!
