TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I've taught my entire career at a small rural high school in northern Maine. I teach 9-12 English, with two honor level classes, an art class, and a GT seminar. I am the district coordinator for our Gifted program and I am involved with several co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I'm traditional now. I create class discussions, encourage debates, force students to really defend points of view. My expectations are high for every child who walks through my doors. I demand excellence from myself and my students. I encourage students to question everything.
