My teaching style is hands-on minds-on while addressing the various learning modalities so as to reach all children in the many ways they learn. I incorporate reading in each subject area. I strive to take the children as close to reality as I can in every topic area. I believe in using the Common Core Standards while keeping learning fun. Fun: children enjoying learning without realizing that they are learning and studying. I believe that parent involvement with their is crucial to the degree of success of the child. I believe in homework as a reinforcement to what the child has learning during the day.

I am the mother of two boys, one of which was diagnosed with ADHD and emotional problems. I am very familiar with teaching children with disabilities, have worked the IEP process and I have worked closely with many Special Education Teachers. Working with my child to graduation success, I know what it takes to reach, teach and help these children succeed.
