TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Classroom teacher for 11 years in Art and also Theatre

MY TEACHING STYLE

I had a fairly laid back classroom style but that doesn't mean I wasn't organized. For me, the key to staying stress-free was having everything prepped well in advance.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Marcus Fellow for Art Education 2004

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

National Merit Scholar, Masters in Art Education from the University of North Texas, Bachelor of Science in Education from Baylor University

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I am currently at home with my young children, however over eleven years in the classroom I spent countless hours developing material for my classroom. I would love to share it with you. I remember when I was student teaching, the woman I worked with let me go through her file cabinet and run off copies of whatever I wanted. How much better is this?!
