TEACHING EXPERIENCE

9 years teaching K-5 Visual Arts and 3 years teaching 6th -12th grade Visual Arts. Currently teaching 2nd-5th grade Visual Arts at two elementary schools.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My goal, as an art educator, is to help cultivate each child’s own individual path of talent. I want to see the young artists I teach continue to grow into adult artists and never face the problem of losing their passion for creating.I believe that art is a means of communication. Pictures communicate in one language. Because of this, art crosses over all barriers and all age groups. Art expresses the creativity of the culture. Through art, students can perceive their world in a new way while expressing and interpreting emotions, imagination and creativity. Art also has the ability to reflect the personality of the artist. It is a link between the soul of the artist to the soul of the viewer. Through teaching art, I am handing over the knowledge of new forms of communication that will carry through life.
