TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am working graphic artist with a passion for community arts, and art programs for kids. I teach as an adjunct on the college level, and run the kids' art history website art movement.online. My primary experience is with small groups of kids, ages 4-8.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I find that my teaching style takes the most from Progressivism and Social Reconstructionism. I try to develop materials that develop the whole child and encourage experimentation and making meaningful connections between what we're doing and what's going on in the students' worlds, and the world at large. This seems pretty obvious for art, but the materials are hands-on and multi sensory. I also try to incorporate multi-disciplinary elements, where appropriate.
