TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I served as a volunteer art docent for several years before becoming my school's Professional Expert in Visual Arts. I taught twenty weekly K-5 classes and conducted an after-school Art Enrichment program as well.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love to find projects and materials that bring out the best in children’s art. Making them overlap school curriculum and art history as much as possible is my passion.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I first earned my B.F.A. at Minneapolis College of Arts and Design, and then enjoyed a 20-year career in graphic design. When my son entered kindergarten, my career path took a turn. Our local elementary school had no art program and that was all the inspiration I needed to take up a new cause.
