This is my fourth year teaching middle school & high school visual art. I truly enjoy sharing my love and knowledge of art to my young students.
I believe that we learn by doing and that all teachers are responsible for teaching real-world skills to students. I also believe that art can be an excellent interdisciplinary tool that involves reading, writing, science, mathematics, social studies, and foreign languages. What could be better than creating art and improving reading skills at the same time or drawing radial symmetry in a tile design and how to find the circumference of a circle? These are the things that visual art can teach.

M.A. in Differentiated Instruction from Concordia University St. Paul. Graduated June 2016. B.S. in Art Education (K-12 licensure) from Winona State University. Graduated May 2013.
My love of teaching started at a very young age. As the oldest of six children, I grew up making worksheets and playing "school". Little did I know that this is what I would be doing for a career!
