TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I began teaching Art in 2007 and switched to ESL in 2014. It has been a very positive change, full of challenges and rewards.

MY TEACHING STYLE

One of my primary goals is to form a rapport with my students, and show them that I care and want them to succeed. In return, they typically put forth effort in my class and trust that I have their best interest in mind. I like to have fun and tell stories about my cats. I talk to them about life, and learn from them, as I hope they are learning from me. When it is time to get serious, they continually make me proud.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have been a yearbook adviser for seven years in a row. It does not come with an award, but it should!

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a Bachelor of Science in Art Education with minors in Photography and Art History, and a Master’s Certificate in Teaching English Language Learners.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I like to shop online, exercise, cook, design lessons and spend time with my husband and two cats.

Teachers Pay Teachers

Teachers Pay Teachers is an online marketplace where teachers buy and sell original educational materials.
