TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Master's in Art History, years of teaching experience I am currently teaching art to 5th and 6th graders, an Art I elective for high school, and AP Art History.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I've spent years working in art museum education--now I'm in the classroom and I'm loving it! I use a historical object-based approach that is based on students' own observations. Like many art teachers I work with hundreds of students (on a budget) so I like practical, easy-to-implement lessons that have a huge impact. I like to give my students freedom to choose their subject matter while they're learning and using elements and principles in their art.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

My favorite lesson plans are easy to implement, use materials frugally and wisely, and work for many levels of ability! If you have large class sizes, limited resources, and not enough space, then my lesson plans are right up your alley!
