My philosophy on teaching is to promote a student- centered approach in a choice-based environment. I follow the TAB curriculum, involving demos, artist introductions, stations, and a myriad of differentiated resources. I also teach through a mindfulness approach encouraging students to pay attention to their art thinking and art making to foster their self-awareness. I believe in using many visuals, body movements, and sound in order to teach art.
