MY TEACHING STYLE

I have taught visual arts in a variety of settings, from public school to museum programs. My specialty is combining a love of offbeat travel with a curiosity of indigenous art, and adapting the art processes for classroom use. I am adept at juggling budget limitations with art classrooms of mixed ability students, and provide accommodations so that every student can participate fully in the creative process. Throughout my teaching career I have received several grants to bring innovative ideas into the classroom, and have served on a variety of professional committees. My summer travels have taken me to exotic locations such as Papua New Guinea, Mongolia, Bhutan, Southeast Asia, South America, and more!
