TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 15 years, I spend 5 years in the arts department teaching K-5 at various schools throughout the district and 10 in the classroom teaching 2nd, 4th and Kindergarten. Starting in August I will be back in the arts K-5!!

MY TEACHING STYLE

I love teaching elementary school visual arts. I give students a solid foundation in the arts, understand the elements of art and the principals of design. I show them how to use a variety of media like paint, clay and oil pastels.

I grew up in Canada and received my Bachelor or Fine Arts at the Alberta College of Art and Design. I moved to the United States and went back to school and got my teaching credential in 2003.
