TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching Visual Art in a high school classroom for over 27 years. I have also taught Arts & Humanities for over 20 years. I have taught college Art History for over 20 years.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I draw on the board for my students and they draw along with me. I video myself drawing and make edited videos of this with music added for students to watch to follow along to that missed my class or want to see the drawing I created drawn again. I also have created numerous PowerPoint presentations over many periods and styles of Art for college Art History & for high school Arts & Humanities.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

I have been nominated for teacher of the year several times in the past and have received other awards related to teaching. In the summers I sometimes present in-services for teachers across the state at KET (Kentucky Educational Television) about various projects that I am working on with my students including Minecraft.EDU or, 3D Modeling or creating video productions with students in the classroom. etc.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a Master of Arts in Education. My emphasis is in Art Studio and Art Education.
