I have worked in the field of ESL for the past 11 years. I have worked in such countries as Korea, China, Turkey, Oman, France and UAE. I started as a simple Kindergarten and Elementary School teacher, but have changed roles to take in General English for Adults, Corporate Training and Exam Prep. I now work as a DoS and spend my free-time developing ESL materials
I am all about energy. I love my classroom to be full of life and creativity. I like to keep everything in English as much as possible and to use lots of realia, anecdotes and personal examples to really get through to my students.
In 2008, whilst working for ClarkMorgan Corporate Training, I was awarded the REDS award for embodying the company values of Respect Energy Dynamism and Synergy. In 2014 I also won the WSE Dreams award as part of Wall Street English. Not to brag but there were only 3 awards for over 600 schools - I won for the Europe and Middle East region
I studied in England until I was 22 years old. I did a degree in American history and Literature at the University of Hull. One year of this was done as an exchange at SUNY Albany in new York State ... which I just loved. Since graduation I have added to my qualifications with a TEFL Certificate and a TESOL Diploma. I also hold professional qualifications in management from Harvard Business Publishing and in Online Learning form the University of New South Wales.
