I believe that the only way to teach the language of the deaf is to respect their culture, not simply the words created with hand shapes. I prefer to teach deaf education with an emersion style of teaching full of culturally appropriate expression.
Yet to be added
I have an Ed.D with a Deaf student focus and my Master's degree in Deaf Education.
I am a teacher, mother, and child of two deaf adults (CODA).
