TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Experience with teaching firth through fifth grades in a school setting both as an intern, substitute, and full time teacher. My teaching experience spans eight years, but full-time teaching spans three. Outside of the formal school classroom, I also worked as a recreation director. This included designing the curriculum of activities for those at the camp. In addition, I have over 2+ years experience since I left the classroom designing higher education curriculum.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I prefer to utilize differentiated instruction methodology - a more hybrid combination of the various teaching styles. It is very dependent upon the group of students, their needs, the lesson and content, etc. I like to hybridize the use of lecture, demonstration/coaching, facilitation/activities, and group instruction.
