TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I trained to teach Modern Foreign Languages in the UK, including French, German and Spanish. I then transitioned into Special Education, teaching children on the autistic spectrum. I taught everything, ranging from English + Maths to Food Technology, as well as Computing, Science, Childcare, and a lot of focus on social, communication, emotional and life skills. I'm also a trained Forest School leader. I have worked in a number of autistic specialist schools and most recently a pupil referral unit for students with a diagnosis of Autism.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My style is very relaxed and working with young people on the spectrum has taught me to make my lessons motivational for the students and to promote life skills as much as possible.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I studied French at university in the UK and went on to get a PGCE in Canterbury, Kent. From there whilst teaching, I completed a Forest School Leader qualification and I have been on several Autism practice courses run by the Autism Education Trust.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I absolutely love making resources and I hope I can help my fellow teachers out in any way possible. I have tried to create and offer things that I haven't seen before and hopefully my lesson packs are sustainable and are differentiated enough to be used with a variety of different needs and levels.
