TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been working with kiddos on the autism spectrum for 9 years and I absolutely love my job. My experience includes working in an autism clinic, home based therapy, and now teaching in a public school setting. I have worked with students ages 2-21. Currently, I teach grades 3-6 in an autism unit.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Student Centered-I try to build off of student interest to increase involvement in their learning. I also work a lot on teaching student's life skills, social skills, and adjusting the common core to meet my students' needs.

HONORS/AWARDS/SHINING TEACHER MOMENT

Received a grant (with other special education teachers and music teacher) for noise reducing headphones.

MY OWN EDUCATIONAL HISTORY

I have a degree in K-12 intervention, a reading endorsement, and a Bachelors of Arts in Speech and Hearing Sciences.

ADDITIONAL BIOGRAPHICAL INFORMATION

I LOVE seeing students bloom and have a true passion for working with students with special needs.
