TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been working with students on the Autism Spectrum for 8 years now. I spent 5 years teaching Preschoolers, 1 year in a Kindergarten/1st grade split, and am now entering my 3rd year working with a 4th/5th grade split classroom. I have a Master's in Exceptional Student Education with an Autism Endorsement. I absolutely love what I do, it has been such a marvelous journey, and I have learned so very much, and I'm still learning so much.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Stephen M. Shore said "If you've met one individual with autism, you've met one individual with autism." My teaching style adapts to the needs of my students. I try to incorporate as much technology as I can, because I know that is the direction society is headed, but I can't say there is any specific style or strategy I'm married to. Exploration, movement, technology, and arts are a big part of my classroom.
