I like Math and I enjoy working with students with special needs. That makes me like my job a lot. I teach Mathematics to students with special needs. These students are usually in the mainstream schools but are struggling to cope with the curriculum. My job is to simplify the concept of mathematics to the level that they can understand and then build up their foundation from there. I believe that every student can learn. We need to teach them at the level that they can understand and at the pace that they can follow. Passing the examination may be important to many students but to this group of students, it is more important that they find the joy and the meaningful in learning. As long as they are still willing to learn, there is hope that they can improve.
Breaking down big concepts into smaller ones. Breaking down math skills into smaller sub skill. Make lessons simple and easy to learn. Progressive learning.
