I am currently teaching my passion, Kindergarten! I have also previously taught Pre-Kindergarten, Kindergarten, 1st grade and 2nd grade. I love the "littles" and believe in building a strong foundation for the future! Going on 12 years, I love my job, my kids, and am constantly trying to learn something new.
I am faithful, supportive, and kind. I love my students like my own children at home. I try to provide stability, fun, and academics in ways that nurture and build my kids up, while my they explore the world around them. I have high expectations for my students and my classroom because I know kids are capable of so much learning with the right amount of guidance and structure. I try to allow my students to use their natural curiosities, questions, and desire to learn something new, to create student-centered opportunities, lessons, and experiences.
I have been honored with: Northside ISD Education Foundation Team Grant: 2006-2007 Teacher of the Month: November 2012 Donor's Choose Grant: 2014-2015 Donor's Choose Grant: 2015-2016 Weatherford Education Foundation Team Grant: 2015-2016
I am a native Texan born and raised in the Lone Star State. I graduated from The University of Texas San Antonio with my Bachelors Degree in Interdisciplinary Studies EC-4. I am certified EC-4 Generalist and ESL EC-4.
In my free time I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I also work with the youth at my church where my husband is also the youth minister. I love reading and watching old 80s/90s sitcoms. Most importantly, I love spending time with my own two sweet girls and showing them all of my favorites things to do. Being a Mom is my favorite job and by far the most fun adventure I've had yet!
