Ms. Newitt began creating early childhood educational materials when her own two children began showing an interest in numbers and letters at an early age. The whimsical and colorful graphics and pictures in her materials capture children's interest and make learning fun!
Ms. Newitt has used a variety of flash cards, printables, books, and games to teach the basics of numbers, addition, letters, and reading. Enrichment activities such as personalized flash cards and books provide children with a connection to the material and a motivation to learn!
Ms. Newitt was a 2007 recipient of the National Siemens Award for outstanding Advanced Placement teaching in Math and Science, which is awarded to 50 teachers nationally each year.
Ms. Newitt received a Bachelors of Science degree in Secondary Physics and Math Education from Kansas State University in 1997. She also achieved a Masters of Education in Educational Technology from the University of Sioux Falls (Sioux Falls, SD) in 2006.
