I have been a high school science teacher for 21 years. I am the department chairperson, and mentor to new teachers. Yearly I present at our state science conference, have been a presenter at NSTA, and have had several articles on teaching ideas printed in national publications. I have also developed curriculum for new courses at our high school that have been utilized by other districts.
I believe that every student can learn. I focus my teaching methods on this principle and make manipulatives and incorporate all types of learning styles into my lessons. Inquiry is an essential part of my classroom.
