I began my teaching career as a Teaching Assistant for two years in a Kindergarten center. I provided small group instruction to remediate math skills. I also presented whole class math lessons in the computer lab and assisted both students and teachers with any technology issues. Next, I became a permanent substitute within my district, securing a leave replacement in a bilingual 1st grade classroom. Finally, I got a contractual position teaching 2nd grade general education for one year. I was then moved to 5th grade bilingual and have been there ever since!
