TEACHING EXPERIENCE

Two veteran high school English teachers formed Barraug Books in 2004. This school year is our 29th year of teaching, and we just celebrated our 25th anniversary. We met at a Title 1 school in Miami, moved to suburb schools in Seattle, taught overseas in Korea and Colombia, returned to Miami to start two technical-arts high schools, and moved to the suburbs of Atlanta where we currently teach. Carlos teaches AP English Literature and Composition, AP English Language and Composition, American Literature, and 9th grade literature. He reads for the College Board and serves as a table leader for AP English Language and most recently, a College Board consultant. Deborah teaches AP English Language and Composition partnered with an AP US History Teacher (American Studies) and American Literature Honors. She teaches composition at the local university as well.
