TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been teaching for 20 years in various settings. I taught middle school for 6 years, vocational education for 5 and high school- Title I for 1 year. I also teach on-line Written Communication courses. Currently, I am teaching basic skill writing courses at a local technical college. Recently, I started teaching GED courses as well.

I teach through a process rather than a product approach. I feel students need to understand how language works in order to be successful at writing. I like to find and create engaging lessons for my students.
