I have experience as a qualified primary school teacher within a Year 6 classroom and extensive experience as a middle school and senior Mathematics Teacher. I also work at Griffith University where I have had two roles: the first as a research associate while I was still studying and as a graduate, then most recently as a sessional tutor where I conduct Mathematics workshop tutorials for Education students
I deliver dynamic, individualised learning opportunities using data-driven planning and action approaches to ensure every student has a high quality opportunity to learn the required curriculum. I use ongoing formative and summative assessment with peer feedback to students and parents. My greatest strength as a teacher is my ability to meet each student’s needs by having an in-depth understanding of their abilities and needs.

I'm a step-Mum to a wonderful 11-year old boy and love spending time together as a family at the beach, bodyboarding, surfing, camping and cycling. I have recently begun learning yoga with my favourite being a tripod headstand and I also enjoy obstacle races (Spartan, Holt Bolt, True Grit). "The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires". Visit my blog BaysideMathTeacher for updates, ideas and FREEBIES.
