TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I have been an early childhood professional for more than 20 years. Having worked in child care, private, public and charter schools in urban communities, I understand the challenges and joys of working with children from all backgrounds and ethnicities. In my primary roll as a classroom teacher, I have created countless lesson plans, projects, age and developmentally appropriate activities to meet the short and long terms goals and needs of young learners.

MY TEACHING STYLE

My teaching style is fun and highly energetic. I believe that children respond to caring, compassionate adults and because that comes naturally to me, I create a classroom environment which is inviting, warm, welcoming, fun and filled with support for all levels of learning.

I am an inspirational blogger, where I use my personal experience and ideals to share insightful, inspiring, motivational and encouraging information with others. As a girl boss, I have my own handmade greeting card business, Pretty Sweetly Made, LLC. Both my blog and samples of my cards are available via my personal website, www.prettysweetideas.com. In addition, I am working on a consulting service which will provide one on one coaching and professional development training to aspiring and first year teachers in the early childhood education field.
