Beast Academy is the elementary division of Art of Problem Solving—an independent publisher and online school geared towards advanced, eager, and curious learners who need more challenge than many standard curricula can offer.
In the Beast Academy curriculum, we encourage students to play, experiment, fail and persevere—building flexibility, creativity, and determination. Integrated into our curriculum are hundreds of puzzles that not only provide entertaining way to drill specific skills, but also help students build spatial awareness, pattern recognition, and other problem-solving skills that repetitive practice problems can never provide.
Beast Academy is the elementary division of Art of Problem Solving (AoPS), where we train the nation's best students in mathematics, physics, and computer science. Our alumni include all twelve of this year's USA Math Olympiad team that has been dominant at the International Math Olympiad in recent years.
The materials you'll find here were created by the Beast Academy team at AoPS.com. We are a small group of math and puzzle enthusiasts. Our team includes:
Palmer Mebane—US Puzzle Champion in 2011, 2013, 2014, and 2015, and World Puzzle Champion in 2011,
Jason Batterson—lead author of the 32 books in the Beast Academy series and 2010 recipient of the Edyth May Sliffe Award for Distinguished Mathematics Teaching in Middle School, and
Chris Page—developer and expansion designer for the early years of the card game, Magic: The Gathering.
The puzzles that we offer here are part of the complete Beast Academy curriculum for ages 8-13. Learn all about us at BeastAcademy.com.
