Wide-range of experience - I have taught pre-school, elementary, middle & high school, adult education, and professional development workshops. Taught all subject areas. I taught general education & Special Education Throughout the years, I have taught in country small school, small town school, and in an inner-city school. I directed a camp and then a learning center before going into full-time teaching. I retired to spend more time with family and in volunteer projects such as writing curriculum for The FHC Educational Group, local history research writing, other writing projects, hopes of developing a historical farm with learning center on family property, and to work on setting up a youth camp.
My teaching style partly depends on the subject area that I am teaching at the time, the age of the students, and the ability level of the students.
In my teaching and other work, I have written and received many grants. Most of these grants included some of my writings, which I have in dozens of binders and several file drawers. I have decided to go through these writings, updating them, and then put them on this site for others to be able to use; I also decided that this may be a way to raise some funds to help turn one of our family properties into a nature center and another one into a historical farm for area teachers to bring their students to. This is all part of a larger plan to purchase more land for a youth camp for teachers to bring their students to. The nature center and historical farm would be part of our Camp Dream.
