TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I am currently a high school classroom teacher at a public school alternative program for students who need a second chance to earn their high school diploma. Furthermore, I have experience teaching as a summer camp instructor, teaching various computer and video game items. I have also interned at The National Museum of Natural History in Washington D.C., the largest museum of its type in the world, granting me further scientific experience.

MY TEACHING STYLE

Because each student learns in a different way, I provide a mix of experiences for students: labs, activities, videos, web quests, and demonstrations to show students how science works and what information science generates. Furthermore, I try to impress students why science, scientific information, and truth are important in a world of "alternative facts" and criticism of science.
