TEACHING EXPERIENCE

I began my teaching journey in 2000. For 13 years I taught middle school science in the only school located within the county. In 2013, after my only child began to struggle, due to the hour drive, I made the change to first grade, which shorten our commute to five minutes. I have a bachelors with emphasis in grades 1-8 but a minor in biology. I obtained a Masters degree in Curriculum and Instruction and my ED.S in Educational Administration.

MY TEACHING STYLE

I absolutely love kids! I love to see them have successes and am always searching and trying new styles and methods that meet the needs of my current class. I tend to approach learning as something we do. I incorporate movements a gestures to make it concrete. I love anything that can interact with my students! I will turn most any "worksheet" I use into an interactive notebook piece.
