I taught elementary school for 11 years both in North America and overseas, I taught ESL at the college level, and Pre-Service educators at the University of Lethbridge. My research focus for my M.Ed was in supporting beginning elementary teachers, and I am the founder of the R.E.A.D.Y. for School Academy. You can learn more at www.drlorifriesen.com. My PhD research was focused on animal-assisted literacy, and I've developed a literacy program for 1st and 2nd grade called "Dogs Help Kids Read and Succeed" with over 3,500 program graduates!
