I've been in education for over 15 years and love children and my colleagues. I taught archaeology in college for 5 years before getting my MEd and moving into middle school and elementary education. I've taught 4th and 6th grade and worked as an instructional coach supporting teachers. I currently work with grades 3rd-5th as a gifted and talented specialist.
I love using primary resources to teach the rigor required with CCSS and well as using problem-based learning. I know modeling is important for any new learning but exploring primary sources and tackling new problems helps children's brains grow.
